The foster parents of Hall County would like to invite you to our second annual car show on May 5th at the Hayes Chrysler dealership in Gainesville. All the money that we make will go toward getting every foster child in our county Christmas gifts.  Last year we were able to get over 150 children something to open on Christmas morning!!

Dear Friend,

I suggest that since this is a social network based calendar, that you change you name to your personal name or nick name. This allows for you to use the Hartselle Chamber name to set up a fan club on our site listed under Clubs/Groups. This provides for a year around support for you car show preparations and activities. Call me if I can help. Mike

Welcome Friend!!
Welcome over to our website! I am so pleased to have you here! This is a great site for those of us that love old cars and bikes!! :-) Thank you so much for posting up the Hartselle Depot Days Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show in Hartselle, AL. This looks like a wonderful family event.
Whether you are looking to attend events or when you are interested in helping promote and publicize events, we are pleased to help bring a broader awareness about auto, truck and motorcycle events throughout the US. There are so many things we can do together to increase attention to our mutual interest in "wheels". The more members and participants you get to join and "RSVP", the higher ranking I can push for your club/event on the search engines. Please note that we provide a unique URL for all events, and this is good to use in emails and other links.

We are very eager to see some photos (& videos, too!) of various vehicles you favor, and all the events you enjoy, too. We want as many photos as we can get. Please announce this at any shows you attend, as we want to get the word out! It is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.
One of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that have not been listed! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc.
If I can help at all, call me at 770-883-0160.
Sincerely,
Mike Thies

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

1948 Rover P3 Saloon

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future. Although its styling retained many traditional elements, including an upright grille, separate fenders, and rear-hinged front…

The Volunteer Gap: Thoughts on Why Car Clubs Are Struggling to Fill Leadership Roles, and What to Do About It

With car shows, cruise-ins, tours, parades and varied events across the country, car clubs continue to bring enthusiasts together for camaraderie, preservation, and celebration of automotive history. But behind the scenes, many of these clubs are hitting a serious speed bump: no one wants to take the wheel. Volunteer-run clubs are facing an increasingly common…
