The 1960 Ford Sunliner was the soft-top star of Ford’s full-size lineup, blending postwar flair with early-'60s sleekness. As part of the B series, the Sunliner rode the wave of chrome, fins, and V8 power that defined the era’s boulevard cruisers.
With a wide grille, modest tailfins, and a power-operated convertible top, it offered style in spades. Under the hood, buyers could opt for anything from a thrifty inline-six to the potent 352-cubic-inch V8, giving it both presence and performance. Over 44,000 were built, making it one of America’s most popular convertibles that year.
The 1960 Sunliner captured the optimism of its time; top down, radio on, engine rumbling! It was built for cruising into a bright, boundless American future.
