 Tire Company is deeply involved in the antique car market, and promote
 s its own rally event, known as the Coker Tire Challenge. The event co
 nsists of antique cars driving to various checkpoints located througho
 ut the Tennessee Valley, and sometimes into the mountains of Georgia a
 nd North Carolina. A field of mostly vintage cars attempt to keep on p
 ace with each stage’s pre-determined time allowance, so with the twi
 sts and turns of back roads comes a major challenge of staying on time
 . Going too fast or too slow penalizes the rally racers, so lots of ma
 th and figuring goes into dialing in the correct speed and sticking to
  the route.\r\nRacers come from all across the country to compete in t
 he Coker Tire Challenge, and it is not limited to vintage cars, althou
 gh modern cars are given a penalty based on the production year. The C
 oker Tire Challenge is a three-day event, with every day starting and 
 ending in the same general vicinity, so participants can stay at the s
 ame hotel all three nights of the competition. Thursday is all about e
 vent Registration, while Friday, Saturday and Sunday are days of compe
 tition. It’s a great event that never fails to show the beauty of th
 e Southeast, and it gives car guys a good excuse to get out and drive
