 r Tire Company is deeply involved in the antique car market, and promo
 tes its own rally event, known as the Coker Tire Challenge. The event 
 consists of antique cars driving to various checkpoints located throug
 hout the Tennessee Valley, and sometimes into the mountains of Georgia
  and North Carolina. A field of mostly vintage cars attempt to keep on
  pace with each stage’s pre-determined time allowance, so with the t
 wists and turns of back roads comes a major challenge of staying on ti
 me. Going too fast or too slow penalizes the rally racers, so lots of 
 math and figuring goes into dialing in the correct speed and sticking 
 to the route.\nRacers come from all across the country to compete in t
 he Coker Tire Challenge, and it is not limited to vintage cars, althou
 gh modern cars are given a penalty based on the production year. The C
 oker Tire Challenge is a three-day event, with every day starting and 
 ending in the same general vicinity, so participants can stay at the s
 ame hotel all three nights of the competition. Thursday is all about e
 vent Registration, while Friday, Saturday and Sunday are days of compe
 tition. It’s a great event that never fails to show the beauty of th
 e Southeast, and it gives car guys a good excuse to get out and drive
