   Six years ago, in an effort to raise awareness of the vital role au
 tomotive restoration and collection plays in American society, the SEM
 A Action Network (SAN) announced the second Friday in July as an annua
 l commemoration of collector vehicles.    The next Collector Car A
 ppreciation Day will be celebrated on July 8, 2016.  In the previous
  six years, thousands of Americans have gathered at car cruises, parad
 es and other events to celebrate our nation’s automotive heritage. 
  By taking part in these events around the country, these automotive e
 nthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was
