 ee October 12-13 for the 7th Annual Big Rigs and Antique Trucks Show, 
 where truck enthusiasts of all types gather to show off their custom a
 nd original truck resotrations, trade stories and ideas, compete for p
 rizes and raise money for The Hope Chest for Women, which provides edu
 cational resources and limited financial assistance to women in Wester
 n North Carolina with breast and gynecologic cancer.\nThis family-frie
 ndly event takes place at the peak of the colorful fall leaf season on
  the Qualla Boundary at the Acquoni Expo Center, which is the old Cher
 okee High School located at 1501 Acquoni Rd. Last year more than 2,200
  spectators and participants showed up, and this year organizers expec
 t more than 150 trucks to be on display. Models range from the antique
  to the working class, including pickup trucks, semis, dump trucks, an
 d more.\nAnyone with a real working or antique truck may register. Par
 ts and swap meet vendors and food displays will also be available at t
 he show. For all trucks approved for display, the registrant and a gue
 st will receive free admission. Gates open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Frida
 y and Saturday. General admission is $5; children twelve and under adm
