  of car friends decided to go up to Helen, Ga, to check out the scener
 y. After seeing the sights, eating great food, and doing research to s
 et up an event in the town, they headed home. On the way, Helen Import
  Day was created.\r\nThey set the date for August 9th, giving them 28 
 days to promote and set up the event. They got more friends together, 
 took their cars on the mountain roads and arrived at the beautiful Alp
 ine Village of Helen. The morning of the event, they knew the parking 
 lot of the Helendorf Inn was too small. With many supporters and Helen
 ’s authorities on hand, the event quickly came together on Main Stre
 et. It was a great turn out and the group of friends decided to do it
