DESCRIPTION:Driver's Education There are few thrills in life that riv
 als those of driving a performance automobile at high speeds.  Althou
 gh enjoyable, the dangers and risks of driving much above the speed li
 mit on American roads can have serious consequences.  Modern technolo
 gy has given us cars with capabilities far above those required for ev
 eryday driving and so most drivers never really get to test their car'
 s performance potential or their own for that matter.\n The Alabama Re
 gion of The Porsche Club of America allows you the opportunity to driv
 e at high speed in a safe and structured environment in our Driver Edu
 cation Program, while making you a better and safer driver.  The PCA 
 DE Program is run in accordance with the PCA Minimum Standards for Dr
 iver Education.  All of our instructors are experienced and certified
  by PCA.  This program is structured to allow totally inexperienced d
 rivers to become familiar with the principals and techniques of High P
 erformance Driving and put them into practice on the track under Instr
 uctor guidance.  This stepped program allows for students to rise to 
 more advanced run groups as their skills progress.  With time and exp
 erience, Candidates may be signed off to run by themselves as Solo Dri
 vers and, if interested, can be themselves trained as certified Nation
 al PCA Instructors.  For over 20 years PCA has been fortunate to utili
 ze the world famous road racing course at Road Atlanta as the home bas
 e for our outstanding DE program.  We look forward to you joining us 
 for a fun weekend.  We are not responsible if you become addicted to 
 this experience.  Actually, we hope you do and will become a regular 
 participant with Peachstate and other Regions’ DE events!  For those
  who really feel the \"Need for Racing\", Porsche Club has developed t
 heir own Club Racing Program that has been running nationwide for over
  18 years.  There are classes for all models of Porsche.  As a means
  to obtain a license for this series, Candidates must run required num
 ber of DE weekends and then be give a Sign Off Check Ride from the Reg
 ion's Chief Driving Instructor before applying for their Rookie Licens
 e and the Racing School Training Weekend.  For those racers with a li
 cense and experience in other venues, please contact the PCA National 
 Club Racing Office to determine if you have a reciprocal license privi
