    HI Mike,

The Friday night event at the twisted tavern looks like a good time. I'm going to be in the area anyway as my son trains at the Choi Kwan Do studio around the corner. My wife and I will look forward to trying something on their menu. Talk to you soon.
PS....Will not be able to make it down to Winder on Saturday, I have a full day of family stuff on the agenda,
  • Julian P. Miles Jr.

Michael, your not going to believe this. Saturday May 1st, Maxie Price informed us that we had at the most 2 months to find another place to go. Maxie Jr. told me that they had enough cars on order to fill the his lot therfore ther would not be any room for us.
Because we have moved around so many times in the last 3 years we have decided not to do the cruisin thing any more for awhile. Were still going to judge the carshows that
we are allready doing as Street Legal Car Club. I will get back in touch with you dates.
    Thanks Julian.
  • Michael L. Baker

Thank you so much for your help and for suggesting this site. We held our first car & tractor show last October and are looking forward to making this year's show even better.
  • Martin Matthews

Hey Mike, thanks!...that is perhaps my very favorite BMW commercials, too bad they didn't run it in the USA. Every time I see it, it brings a tear to my eye. y car looked just like the one in the commerical. I was so posessed by that car that the first night I had it I slept in it.

Hi, Changed my name to Ric...
Here's a photo of what my '47 looked like before I started "remodeling"
Can 't send you a finished photo as of yet as it is in for paint and body work right now.
So far I have added power disc's on front and rear, a 305 small block chevy, 10 bolt rear end, auto trans,Auto choke (cause I'm lazy) air, power windows and door locks. door poppers, chopped 3" out of the roof height, removed all chrome and seams. reverse mini moon hubs, leather interior, extra large sound system to fill up all that empty space behind the seats, frenched '08 mercedes headlights, recessed '59 caddy tailights, completely new wiring system, harley davidson samson fishtail exhaust with propane flame system and ignitor, rebuilt original front end suspension and new leaf springs in back, all calibrated to the new weight of the car, and I'm thinking of adding airbags to the rear for a little added support (this is one heavy car) and and gee I can''t think of anything else I have blown money during the last five years rebuilding this lead sled except for the paint that I am in process of getting done right now. It will be Black cherry with a zillion layer of clearcoat
that's all for now. Where is the button for adding photo's to comment's. I'm new and can't see it...... thanks

    Hey Mike,

Thanks for the "welcome". Love the site. Looking at your phone number you must be local. That's great because I've never been able to find a good site or even a car club locally. Your cell is a bit similar to mine and I'm in Kennesaw (mine is 770-883-6820). Will add some photos. Car was wrecked (someone hit me) a couple of years ago and I've got some good before, during, and after shots following from the accident through to the final repaired car. Take care, Joe
  • Joe Sellers

    Thanks, Mike!
  • jim (MOPAR JIM )nelson

I am registered 2 times yesterday. One has my Dodge pics. The slide show did finally delete the picture of my charger showing the tag number an hour after I deleted it from my page. It wouldn't accept my log when I returned. Please let me know of any oppertunities to go to that museum in Oakwood. Your pics of it are fantastic. Your website is great too.
  • Joe Camire

Thanks Mike glad to be here. I will get some more pictures and maybe some video. I ran at Road Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. I will try to get it edited and uploaded. Thanks and have a great day.
    Joe
  • jim (MOPAR JIM )nelson

Mike -did I use the wrong email address the first time I registered on June 1 and that is why I couldn't log in when I returned?
    thanks
    Jim

  • Hearse_Driver

thanks ill keep that in mind this seems like a great site
  • Charles Sewell

Thanks for the help with the Poker Run. It will take a while for me to learn to navigate your website. At the moment I'm very busy with the poker run and another event we produce each September. Since most of our members are under retirement age, they work through the week and it's left to me to do all the planning. Will try to look you up at the next show at Holly Hill.
  • Lenny Major

  • Matthew Young

Thank you so very much Mike for telling me about your website and being so kind.
  • Matthew Young

Thanks! I really put a lot of work and time in it, it may not be as nice as one that was professionally done, but I am proud of it. I have always loved VW's, the vans and the cars. My grandfather and my dad was always crazy about them, my first car was a 65 VW beetle. My dad currently owns a 85 Westfalia VW camper van and my mom recently bought her a 74 VW beetle. I guess it runs in the blood.
  • Michael J Lliteras

Hey, thanks for helping out we got the steering arm bent back the right way and it was working great for the race. The car felt way better even though we only got 4 green flag laps. Ill write about this weeknd for sure! See you next time.
  • Matthew Young

Thanks, I will definitely check out that website and I did get that posted.
  • Rich McWheels

Thanks Mike, though to be honest if you got any pictures of my ranger, they would no doubt be rather boring, as my ranger is stock at the moment. I look forward to meeting you.
  • Rich McWheels

I'd love to do some modifications to it, it's a 2001 with the 3.0 Liter V6. Most of the performance parts are made for the 4.0 so the biggest modification I'd consider is a 4.0 swap, and if that engine can take a bigger transmission I'd swap it out too in a heartbeat, the one I have has been rebuilt. I also would like to install an audio system that goes above and beyond what can be done with off-the-shelf parts. Fiberglass or otherwise custom-built box, component speakers, Double-din head unit and either moving the HVAC controls to another location or shrinking the space for the vents in the center.

I work as a Promoter for the 2010 HIN/NOPI Supershow Tour. The job includes everything from garrison work to outside promotions, to working at the shows.

What is it that you do?
  • Tim Stewart

We would love to. how do we do that?
  • Ben Scruggs

Will as soon as I can
  • Tim Stewart

    Thanks
  • Lenny Major

  • Tom Brittelle

Mike thanks for the welcome note. I was wondering if anybody knows if the 1st Sunday of the month show at the East Cobb Avenues will be held this sunday on July 4th?

  • Tom Brittelle

Mike : I received this update from Examiner.com. Looks like the July 4th Caffeine and Octane event at The Avenues is still on!

East Cobb residents can come out on Sunday, July 4th for the monthly cruise-in at the Avenues of East Cobb near the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road and Roswell Road/Hwy 120 in Cobb County. Times are 8:00 am to 11:00 am.

  • Sid P

Hope others see what I saw - your outgoing, friendly smile; not just with your mouth but with your eyese too. What is it about this club that 'smiling' is so hard to do? I don't get it.
  • Miguel Caparros

    Look at my page now!
  • Doug Bryant

  • Jim Collura
