We got home fine ... probably just ahead of the worst of it. I talked to a friend in Jasper tonight and he said they got slammed hard with high winds. Said it looked like a tornado went thru with all the downed trees.

    Call my cell number 770-713-9227.

I'm trying to sell our other house in Acworth and have to get the locks changes tomorrow morning before noon.

If you need content, I have all my articles available the past 2 years, some are now duplicates of reviews.

Thank you for turning me on to this social network. I have been all over it checking out all the cool events and information it provides.

Unfortunately our event had to be postponed due to the weather.oved the event to our rain date of April 23rd. If there is any way you can help spread the word I would greatly appreciate it.

  • Ryan Rees

Sorry I missed your call Friday, but I was on the wrong end of a pressure washer.

Trying to get our "lake house" ready to sell.

I will be available for a call Monday or Tuesday. Or call me this afternoon, I'll be around the house since it's supposed to rain.

  • Amber Colvin

The event Calender won't let my change to April. It only lets me change the year.

Michael - Thanks so much for getting the word out about our Car & Bike Shows.  The more entrees we have ($15 entry fee) the larger the cash prizes.  Hope to see you in June 2011.

Below in the previous comment is a list of all the qualifying Motorcycles and Scooters.  As I mentioned over the phone all "owners" must either ride their qualifying bike, or bring the registration as verification.  Please call me if there are any questions.  AGAIN THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP!!!!

Hi Guys, myself and 3 others were there! The red Shelby GT500 convertible and redfire coupe (brothers who rode together) were those and my  red Lightning was there! The parking area where show cars were had spaces at about 2 pm, when we were there? Didn't have time to work on Lightning or Shelby after last weeks Mall of Georgia Ford show, weather looked threatening in spite of forecast. Know it was their first show, weather played a part: but we've found putting out flyers at other events, in addition to your site, seems most effective way to promote! We had lunch and food was good there! There was a competing show very close by up on Cobb Pwky that was packed. A couple of things I'd like to share privately, if you're interested?

Did the guy with the black GTO 68 vert of guy with red & blk Chevelle next to GTO win anything? They're friends of mine!

(A Quarter Rat is someone who lives and or works in the French Quarter of New Orleans, LA.)

Quarterrat.com thinks that the historic, creative and always edgy French Quarter would be a perfect location to host a RAT ROD car show. An always popular vacation spot with plenty to do and see would be a great back drop for the artistic creations of RAT RODS.  A beautiful city with a very active night life would be a great location to showcase your passion for automotive expression.

This is in the early planning stages, and as of now and we do not have a firm date planned (hopefully by autumn 2011.) We are contacting Rat Rod and Bobber clubs in the surrounding states to see what kind of a turn out we may expect for cars and bikes.  Also we are seeking feedback from club members to find out what they are looking for in a great show venue. We are planning a parade down Bourbon Street complete with a brass band for those who arrive early, along with local Burlesque troops to perform at clubs in the Quarter.

We were wondering how far would club members be willing to travel to participate in a car show? What vendors or sponsors do you and your fans hope to see at a show? How many vehicles do you consider to be a great turn out? The Quarter Rat has plenty of local advertisers who will be willing to offer up great New Orleans dinning as prizes, as well as plenty of bars on Bourbon Street staffed with Quarter Rats.

Thank you for your time and any feedback you can offer.

Our paths may have crossed.  I raced in the Great Lakes region (a brown 76 Spit)  I also worked most of the Races in the 70s & 80s at Road America, & some pro rallies as a grid marshal, corner worker, timing, etc.

Wanted to say thanks for giving me a call for the Movie filming in Atlanta( Jayne Mansfield car). Not only was my car in it but they asked me to be an extra and I even got paid to get a haircut.(which I needed badly) :) I was asked to return the next day and I got alot more filming in. I hope I'm in the movie for a minute. It was a great experience and lots of fun. Please let me know if you hear of an opportunity like this again. Thanks again.

    Mike,

Thank you for the welcome.  I don't have pictures of the civics on my work computer.  So I'll be adding pictures later on.  I've lately got into the older civics due to small nimble little chassis plus the kids love helping dad work on them.  My old civic had the kids hand prints on the back.

    Richard
