High Octane Events LLC Postpones April 2020 Caffeine and Octane and Caffeine and Exotics Car Shows
Organizer of the Popular Metro Atlanta Car Shows Postpones its April Events due to Coronavirus Transmission Concerns.
ATLANTA, March 19, 2020 – Caffeine and Octane, the integrated brand behind North America’s largest monthly car show, has postponed two upcoming April 2020 events: Caffeine and Octane at Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody, Ga. and Caffeine and Exotics at City Springs in Sandy Springs, Ga.
“Our sole concern is the health and safety of our many fans, sponsors, show participants, and our Caffeine and Octane team,” said Bruce Piefke, CEO and producer, Caffeine and Octane. “As the coronavirus situation continues to evolve, it is simply prudent to postpone our events and do our part to help flatten the virus infection and transmission curve.”
While the announcement pertains to the April 5, 2020 Caffeine and Octane show at Perimeter Mall and the April 19, 2020 Caffeine and Exotics event at City Springs, Piefke said he will continue to closely monitor the situation in order to be prepared to make decisions on future Caffeine and Octane shows, which are held the first Sunday of every month, and the quarterly Caffeine and Exotics gatherings.
“We absolutely take the coronavirus outbreak very seriously,” Piefke said. “With the situation changing on an hour-by-hour and in some cases a minute-by-minute basis, we think it is wise to align with the State of Georgia and our local municipalities.”
This past Saturday Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp declared an unprecedented public health emergency, and in the past week the cities of Dunwoody and Sandy Springs and many Metro Atlanta municipalities have closed all public facilities and postponed all scheduled events.
