Did you go? If not, why? It's one of the biggest car shows in this area every year!

We went up Saturday and hit the strip about 5pm. I saw a lot of cars that have been there before...and people from all over. We saw plates not only from Tennessee but from Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia, Washington and even Montana!

The traffic was bumper to bumper but we didn't mind at all...the cruising is what it's about at Rod Run. You don't have to just sit still in a hot parking lot all day waiting for someone to come by and admire your ride. You can get out there and show it off in style!

My husband and I go twice a year...to April's Spring Run and then in September to the (even bigger) Fall Rod Run.
Every year we have a blast meeting people, taking pics of the beautiful rides and just enjoying the comraderie and the beautiful mountain setting.

I took a few pics this year (I usually take more but this year I was doing most of the driving) so pop on over to my album if you want to see the crowd and some sweet rides.

I think it's pretty much cars parked along the strip. It's not an "awards" show.

Shades OF The Past is at Dollywood the weekend before and has an top notch car show. I posted an album. Is there any show at the Rod Run or is it all cars parked on the strip?

The “Car Guy’s Garage”

Step inside a place like this and you can almost hear the echoes of every wrench turned and every engine fired back to life. The light hums off the old signs, Route 66, Coca-Cola, Phillips 66, and the smell is that unmistakable mix of oil, leather, and stories. This isn’t just a garage. It’s a…
