Have your car be in the new Harrison Ford movie "42, the Jackie Robinson Story"! And maybe you too!

We are looking for cars between the years '32-'49, that still appear original to be in the Harrison Ford movie "42, the Jackie Robinson Story"!

We are filming Friday in Birmingham this Friday, the 18th, near Rickwood Stadium. It's a night scene, so call time will start later in the day and go well into the night.

We will pay you about $100 and the car $125-$150 depending where you are coming from. We put a dust or dulling agent on some cars, that comes right…

Welcome Kelly!!

Welcome over to our website! I am so pleased to have you here!  This is a great site for those of us that love cars and bikes and photography!! :-) It was great to connect with you to help our friends find roles in the movies for their vehicles.

Also, whether a person is are looking to attend events or when they are interested in helping promote and publicize events, we are pleased to help bring a broader awareness about auto, truck and motorcycle events throughout the US. There are so many things we can do together to increase attention to our mutual interest in "wheels". The more members and participants you get to join and "RSVP", the higher ranking I can push for your club/event on the search engines. Please note that we provide a unique URL for all events, and this is good to use in emails and other links.  Use this to do some last minute reminders to your emails lists.

We are very eager to see some photos (& videos, too!) of the various vehicles you favor, and all the other events you enjoy, too. It would be very cool to have some videos of your races!!  Please announce this site at any shows you attend, as we want to get the word out! It is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.

One of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that have not been listed! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc. If I can help at all, call me at 770-883-0160      .

Sincerely,

Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1948 Rover P3 Saloon

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future. Although its styling retained many traditional elements, including an upright grille, separate fenders, and rear-hinged front…

The Volunteer Gap: Thoughts on Why Car Clubs Are Struggling to Fill Leadership Roles, and What to Do About It

With car shows, cruise-ins, tours, parades and varied events across the country, car clubs continue to bring enthusiasts together for camaraderie, preservation, and celebration of automotive history. But behind the scenes, many of these clubs are hitting a serious speed bump: no one wants to take the wheel. Volunteer-run clubs are facing an increasingly common…

Why It’s Hard to Recruit Younger Members to Volunteer Car Clubs, and How to Fix It

Car clubs have long been the social engine of the collector car world, bringing people together to swap parts, plan road trips, attend shows, and preserve automotive history. But in recent years, many volunteer-run car clubs have struggled with a pressing problem: recruiting and retaining younger members. The concern isn’t just about numbers, it’s about sustainability. As the…
