I am happy to announce that the 5th Annual Ride for Injured Cops will be held on May 19, 2012. This year it will be a dice run rather than a poker run. Registration will be at the Gwinnett Police North Precinct located at 2735 Mall of Georgia Blvd., Buford, GA 30519. We will be serving concessions at registration. Jeffrey's Sports Grill, which is located at 6332 Grand Hickory Dr., Braselton, GA 30517, will be hosting the party and the Open Road cover band will be playing the music.
Registration will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Registration fees will be $15.00 for drivers and $10.00 for passengers. Registration includes a ride shirt or pin and a sample of Original Bike Spirits spray polish (as suplies last), and the first round of dice. Additional rounds of dice are $5.00.
The stops will be at Oasis Bowl, The Derby Pub, and The Blue Moon Tavern.
We will have the car and motorcycle show again this year. Entering the vehicle show is included in the registration fees. If you do not register for the ride, the vehicle show registration fee will be $15.00 per vehicle. If you do not want to participate in the dice run, you can register your vehicle directly at Jeffrey's starting at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. WInners will be announced at about 4:00 p.m. We will have really nice trophies again this year. We will be awarding public choice, 1st through 3rd place, for motorcycles and cars. The best of show motorcycle and car will be judged.
We are working hard to get more raffle prizes this year. We have already received many door prizes from Original Bike Spirits, Kauffman Tires, Hooters, Frontera, Oasis Bowl, Cut Loose Salon, Firestone, Edward Jones, Chilis, Tara fine Jewely, Dead Center Indoor Range, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Longhorns, Barnacles Sports Bar, Dairy Queen, Golden Corral, Harbor Freight, and Big Daddy's. We will also be holding the 50/50 drawing. The party will begin at Jeffrey's at about 1:00 p.m., so Join us for live music by Open Road, great food, cold beverages, and a lot of fun.

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene.
