Event Description

This event has been cancelled. New dates T.B.A. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The Chattanooga Cruise In is coming back to Camp Jordan for 2020! We launched into this new venue last year, and packed the giant facility with more than 2,500 cars. This year, we're planning to do the same, but we do have a plan to streamline traffic and parking, so stay tuned for details on that. The event is still FREE to the public, and we're expecting an awesome turnout of hot rods, classic and modern muscle cars, classic trucks, custom cars and restored classics.

In addition to the massive display of cars, we will have commercial vendors inside the Camp Jordan Arena as well as food vendors scattered throughout the campus. Back by popular demand is our blemished tire and wheel sale, where you can get CRAZY GOOD deals on cosmetically blemished products. As always we will have custom event T-shirts available for only $10 each.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, and we have lots of room for commercial vendors. Last year we had a great variety of vendors, and we're hoping for more this year. Please contact Angelia Summers for information regarding sponsorship and vendor opportunities. Her email is angelias@coker.com. Food vendors are handled by the Concessions Manager, Dwayne Hale at Camp Jordan Park. He can be reached directly at 423-280-7960.

Judging the Survivor By Mike Thies

Judging the Survivor

By Mike Thies

Sooner or later every judge faces this class. A freshly restored car with flawless paint sits next to an original car with faded lacquer, a worn driver's seat, and sixty years of honest use on it. Both owners did right by their cars. The job is to score them so neither one is punished for the choice its owner made.

Both deserve respect. A great restoration takes skill, money, and years of work. A true survivor can never be made again…

A Bite of History: Unicorn Restorations, the 1974 Camaro Z28 by Mike Thies

A Bite of History: Unicorn Restorations, the 1974 Camaro Z28

by Mike Thies

At any good car show, you will find 1957 Chevys in every form: survivors, frame-off restorations, and restomods. What you will rarely find is a 1958. That tells you something about the collector market. Not every year of a popular model becomes a true collectible. Buyers pick favorites, and those years get saved, restored, and passed down, while the years next to them…
