Garage71 and Grease Inc. will host the popular Silverscreen and Gasoline Car and Bike Show. Held every year in conjunction with Drive-Invasion, the show features pre-1971 cars, hot rods, customs and bikes. Hand-crafted awards and prizes will be given out by celebrity custom builders like Café Racer TV host Bryan Fuller of Fuller Hot Rods and Discovery Channel’s Chad Pecchi of Shop 102. Trophies will be given for: Best Engine, Best Paint, Longest Haul, Best Bike, Best Build and Best Original. Attendees can have their pictures taken with vehicles and strike-up friendships with the drivers.
Drive-Invasion celebrates the American drive-in movie theater and classic car culture. The all-day celebration features an antique car show, artist market, vendors, 12 Bands on 2 Stages, Food Trucks, Kid’s Zone and three classic creature features (Horror of Party Beach, JAWS, Mad Doctor of Blood Island) projected onto a 40-foot movie screen. Admission price for Drive-invasion is $25.00 a person, which includes parking and access to all events. Classic Cars receive $5 off. Children 10 years of age and under will receive complimentary admission. Gates will open at 10:00 a.m., with the first band taking the stage at 11:00 a.m.
