Event Description

EURO AUTO FESTIVAL

You never know who you’ll run into at EURO Auto Festival. Every year there are plenty of local dignitaries, racers, famous collectors, and industry leaders. The 2017 show is sure to have all of this as usual, but in addition, we’re happy to announce that our featured guest will be Keith Martin.

Keith is an automotive switch-hitter of sorts with talents in every facet of the collector car hobby. He’s a writer, a publisher, a television host, an academic, a racer, an advocate and he’s even been known to turn a wrench or two.

Keith is the founder of Sports Car Market and, according to his bio on that publication’s website:

[Keith] founded the monthly Sports Car Market magazine twenty-six years ago, and it has developed into the authoritative informed voice of the collector car hobby. Martin’s second publication, American Car Collector, launched two years ago, continues to be the fastest growing collector car publication in America.

Martin’s columns on collecting and reviews of exotic cars, including the Ford GT and the Bentley Continental GT, have appeared in the New York Times. Noted for his onstage wit, warmth and deep knowledge of collectible cars, Martin has been an emcee at Pebble Beach, the Meadow Brook Concours, Concorso Italiano, the Kirkland Concours, the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance, Keels and Wheels and many other events.

He has hosted numerous television specials, and is the co-host of “What’s My Car Worth” shown on the Velocity channel. He was the Chairman of the Meguiar’s Collector Car Person of the Year Award, is on the Board of Trustees of the LeMay Museum and has served on the faculty of the Collier Museum symposium on Connoisseurship.

Keith will be emceeing a number of events at EURO as well as spending time on the show grounds. So be sure to purchase your official EURO poster, bring a Sharpie and have him sign it.

Introduced in late 1966 for a short, single-year production run, the 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL holds a special place in the “Pagoda” lineage (W113 series) as the rarest variant, with only about 5,196 units built. Positioned between the earlier 230SL and the later 280SL, the 250SL…

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future.
