Visitors welcome! www.gsra.com
The GSRA is one of the oldest street rod associations in the USA, having been formed in 1976. The GSRA promotes the car hobby in general and is open to all walks of life. All you need is a healthy interest in automobiles. You don't have to even own a car!! Spouses and significant others are welcome at our all our events. In fact many spouses run the 50/50 drawings and participate in the swap meet. Without spousal support the GSRA would not run as smoothly.
A couple things that make us different...we do not have a cut off date for our events, like some rod associations. Our members have all sorts of automobiles - stocks, rods, trucks, motorcycles, and customs. National Events (NSRA) though, do have a 1948 cut-off date. We have regular monthly meetings that encompass discussion of old and new GSRA business, selection of the Car of the Month, purchase of 50/50 tickets, and meet new members/greet old members. All are welcome to come check us out.

Located beside the manufacturing facility is the Panoz Heritage Center, an intimate look at the race cars that helped put America back into international sports car racing. On display are such renowned Panoz race cars as the LMP 900 Nurburgring winner, 24 hours of Le Mans winner, Indy 500 winner, first ever electric/gasoline hybrid race winner and several other key Panoz race cars. The Heritage center is attached to the showroom where visitors can also view the many street cars that have born the Panoz marque over the years.
The Heritage center is open to the public Monday thru Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Saturday by appointment. The center also offers the opportunity for groups to tour the facility by appointment and to rent the heritage center for private, small group events with catering provided by nearby Chateau Élan.
All proceeds for group rentals are donated to the following charities; Eagle Ranch, Chestnut Mountain Ranch and the Braselton Library.

A Bite of History - Marcos
By Mike Thies
The Marcos was one of those wonderfully unconventional British sports car companies that could only have come from the postwar racing world. The company was founded in 1959 by Jem Marsh and aerodynamicist Frank Costin, with the name Marcos coming from Marsh and Costin. Costin brought serious aircraft and racing design experience to the project, and that influence showed up immediately in the cars: low frontal area, light weight,…

A Judge’s View from Pinehurst: Sandhills Motoring Expo 2026 by Mike Thies
The 2026 Sandhills Motoring Expo Concours in the Village was one of those days that reminds you why we do this. Held Sunday, May 24, in the historic Village of Pinehurst, the event brought together more than 130 judged automobiles representing over 40 manufacturers, and from this judge’s point of view, it was a first-class field, a well-run operation, and a genuinely enjoyable day with owners who were proud to…
