Event Description

A motorcycle ride scheduled to honor a fallen state trooper will end in Gwinnett County.

The inaugural In the Line of Duty Ride will honor the Georgia State Patrol’s Cpl. Chadwick LeCroy, whose life was taken on Dec. 27 after a routine traffic stop in Atlanta resulted in a police chase and a fatal shooting.


The March 12 motorcycle ride endorsed by the Georgia State Patrol and Atlanta Police Department will begin at LeCroy’s former post on Aviation Circle in Atlanta. It will end at the Wild Wing Cafe located at 3265 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in Suwanee.

The ride is open to motorcycles and hot rods, and will include a police escort. Entry fees are $15 per vehicle and $5 per passenger. All proceeds will benefit the LeCroy Family Memorial Fund.
