NATCHEZ TRACE BRITISH CAR RALLY IS A GO FOR SATURDAY
Looking at various weather forecasts for Saturday the 26th October 2013 including The Weather Channel who are predicting a sunny day, temperatures a little over 60 degrees with no rain we are going full steam ahead with Saturdays Natchez Trace British Car Rally, so for those who didn't get to do the last one where we attracted just over 70 cars Gil's Rolls and a London Double Decker Bus let us tell you about it.
The party and gathering is happening in Hohenwald in Lewis County, at The Memorial Park 38462
organized by the Lewis County members of the Nashville British Car Club.
8.30am The Nashville British Car Club members seem to be gathering at Loveless Cafe at the Northern end of the Natchez Trace Parkway in Bellevue, Nashville.
Others are joining the Rally at various entrances to the Parkway at Leipers Fork, Franklin and Columbia. Departing Loveless Cafe at 9.30am
Others coming up from the South from the Alabama clubs can join the Parkway closest to them and head North coming off at the National Parks Meriwether Lewis grave site where we will gather and be told by a Ranger about the strange circumstances in the death of one of America's greatest explorers, Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis & Clark expeditions.
This should be an exceptional time of the year to see the Fall Changes of the all the various trees on the Trace where the drive will not exceed 50mph and should take about an hour from Nashville to the Lewis grave site and not see one solitary truck. (they are not allowed)
Departing Lewis grave site at 12 o'clock mid-day for the 8 mile hop into Hohenwald and The Memorial Park where luncheon will be served. I am trying to put together 'Bangers & Mash' together as well as Cottage Pie but for those others who don't like “Brit” food they will be cooking hamburgers and hot-dogs on site.
Main roads through Hohenwald are Highway 412 running East to West and Highway 48 North to South with Summertown Highway (20) coming in from Lawrenceburg
In case of problems you can call me at (931) 306-7054 cell phone and home (931) 796-2004 just leave a message.
Have a safe and wonderful drive, see you Saturday.

1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL
Introduced in late 1966 for a short, single-year production run, the 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL holds a special place in the “Pagoda” lineage (W113 series) as the rarest variant, with only about 5,196 units built. Positioned between the earlier 230SL and the later 280SL, the 250SL…

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster
The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…
