Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals
Friday, May 13, 2011 through
Sunday, May 15, 2011
Atlanta Dragway, Commerce, GA
The Summit Racing NHRA Southern Nationals is one of the most exciting events on the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series schedule because it is one of the most challenging to win. Spring in the South can turn hot and humid, which throws a curve ball to drivers and crew chiefs alike.
You'll also see Summit All Star drivers Warren Johnson, Kurt Johnson, and Larry Morgan competing in Pro Stock, and watch Brandon Bernstein (Top Fuel) and Tim Wilkerson (Funny Car) turn nitro into 300 MPH passes.
New this year is the Summit Racing Power Experience. It's an interactive, multi-media motorsports simulator that immerses you in the sights, sounds, and movement of racing. You'll get to make a six-second quarter-mile pass in Greg Anderson's Pontiac GXP; slide through the corners in an IMCA dirt track car; and crush cars in the Summit Racing/BIGFOOT monster truck. It's something you won't want to miss--and it's free!
You can get ticket ordering information and the complete schedule for the 31st annual Summit Racing NHRA Southern Nationals at NHRA.com. If you can't be at the track but want the latest results direct from Atlanta Dragway, head to Drag Race Central!

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster
The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

1948 Rover P3 Saloon
The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future. Although its styling retained many traditional elements, including an upright grille, separate fenders, and rear-hinged front…
