J..

My body style for the GT 40 was used from 64 to 68. I have a conglomeration of all the body styles, or at least several of them. With the wide hips in the rear(68) and the particular front end(64-65), I just call it a 65. The color of the car(now) is Linden Green and came from the 1961 English Ford Anglia. I believe only 2-3 of the original cars were this color. I am not finished with it and plan to add wide racing stripes in white along with roundels on the doors and the right rear hip. Select decals will follow. Thanks for asking,

Bill

The foster and adoptive parents of Hall County extend an invitation to you to attend our 3rd annual car show on April 27th, 2013! The show location is the Hayes Dodge dealership, 3115 Frontage Rd in Gainesville GA from 11:00 to 5:00 with trophies awarded at 4:00.. All the money we collect goes to benefit the children in foster care in our county. We provide care bags when a foster child comes into foster care with all the necessities like a tooth brush and tooth paste and things like a new toy, a blanket... We also provide Christmas gifts for every child in care and we are looking to start up providing a birthday gift for their special day. We need your help to be able to take care of the 130 or so Hall County foster children. Registration is $15 per vehicle. We also welcome venders. Check out our website and see pics of our other car shows at www.lovehopehealing.com! We hope to see you there!!

Welcome Stratton!!
Welcome over to our website! I am so pleased to have you here! This is a great site for those of us that love old cars and bikes!! :-)  Thank you for posting the County Road Cruisers Car Show in Madison, GA. Madison is such a beautiful city and you always have a great show!

Whether you are looking to attend events or when you are interested in helping promote and publicize events, we are pleased to help bring a broader awareness about auto, truck and motorcycle events throughout the US. There are so many things we can do together to increase attention to our mutual interest in "wheels". The more members and participants you get to join and "RSVP", the higher ranking I can push for your club/event on the search engines. Please note that we provide a unique URL for all events, and this is good to use in emails and other links.

http://southeastwheelsevents.com/events/6th-annual-country-road-cruisers-car-show-madison-gaWe are very eager to see some photos (& videos, too!) of your Ferrari, as well as of the various other vehicles you favor, and all the events you enjoy, too. We want as many photos as we can get. Please announce this at any shows you attend, as we want to get the word out! It is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.

One of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that have not been listed! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc.
If I can help at all, call me at 770-883-0160.
Sincerely,
Mike Thies

A Bite of History - Marcos  By Mike Thies

A Bite of History - Marcos

By Mike Thies

The Marcos was one of those wonderfully unconventional British sports car companies that could only have come from the postwar racing world. The company was founded in 1959 by Jem Marsh and aerodynamicist Frank Costin, with the name Marcos coming from Marsh and Costin. Costin brought serious aircraft and racing design experience to the project, and that influence showed up immediately in the cars: low frontal area, light weight,…

A Judge’s View from Pinehurst: Sandhills Motoring Expo 2026 by Mike Thies

The 2026 Sandhills Motoring Expo Concours in the Village was one of those days that reminds you why we do this. Held Sunday, May 24, in the historic Village of Pinehurst, the event brought together more than 130 judged automobiles representing over 40 manufacturers, and from this judge’s point of view, it was a first-class field, a well-run operation, and a genuinely enjoyable day with owners who were proud to…
