And I hope that is spending time with family, friends and loved ones celebrating the great adventure that the new year brings.
And while no one mentions the second day of the new year, we hope that you will join us in a new tradition of gathering with a new family, friends and loved ones!
Our merry little group would normally be taking a polar bear ride down south to fill our bellies, but we have decided to do something a little closer to home and to be productive with our endeavor.
The # 1 mission of our group is spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and the gospel. The cma has an annual fund raiser for doing just that. So in order to support the cause and have some fun doing it, the KB $5 Social was born.
It's basically a pot luck dinner and everyone is invited. The more the merrier!
We encourage, no, we CHALLENGE you to bring the best dish! Bring grandma's secret recipe, or your world famous dish! Whatever you want!
Can't cook? No problem, pick up some plates or drinks or utensils.
And to fulfill the fund raising efforts, every one puts a $5 bill ( or 5 ones or an assortment of coins) or heck, be generous and throw in a 10!
100% of the proceeds go to the CMA Run for the Son.
The RFS supports feeding the hungry, the Jesus film project, foreign missions and missions right here at home!
Its a great cause, and there's going to be a ton of food!
So tell your fam and friends to join us!
And bring your appetite!
Oh and for those that still feel the urge to do a polar bear ride, we are going to arrange that too!
