What are your main interests?
Driving scenic routes in the countryside
Come visit my website collection of Georgia scenic countryside drives. I have put together over 2800 miles of scenic routes and keep adding and refining them each week. Whether it is a whole car club, or just you and the wife, these routes have the best destinations plus windy, twisty roads in the area. If you enjoy getting away from the bumper to bumper crap as much as I do, then you will enjoy what I have here to offer. Note some of these routes are just an hour or so, and then there are some routes that are multiple days long with over night stays at choice hotels. In addition to being a car nut, I am also a musician and can give you an exceptional deal on live music for your next car show, cruise-in, or club christmas party. See the ENTERTAINMENT section of my webpage: http://CorvetteHighways.home.comcast.net/

Hi Doc,

I am looking for folks to bring their vehicles to a Cruise-in on Friday nights at the Sonic Drive-in, located on Atlanta Hwy just off of Hwy 53 in Flowery Branch, Ga., from 4-8pm. Everyone welcome, come and share with friends and meet new people.  I will be there to offer gift packets from the church across from Sonic, Blackshear Place Baptist. If interested in joining us for fun, food and fellowship, please contact me for more information.  We plan to start up mid to late April, 2013.

God Bless,

Roy and Sandy Pierce

The foster and adoptive parents of Hall County extend an invitation to you to attend our 3rd annual car show on April 27th, 2013! The show location is the Hayes Dodge dealership, 3115 Frontage Rd in Gainesville GA from 11:00 to 5:00 with trophies awarded at 4:00.. All the money we collect goes to benefit the children in foster care in our county. We provide care bags when a foster child comes into foster care with all the necessities like a tooth brush and tooth paste and things like a new toy, a blanket... We also provide Christmas gifts for every child in care and we are looking to start up providing a birthday gift for their special day. We need your help to be able to take care of the 130 or so Hall County foster children. Registration is $15 per vehicle. We also welcome venders. Check out our website and see pics of our other car shows at www.lovehopehealing.com! We hope to see you there!!

The foster parents of Hall County would like to invite you to our second annual car show on May 5th at the Hayes Chrysler dealership in Gainesville. All the money that we make will go toward getting every foster child in our county Christmas gifts.  Last year we were able to get over 150 children something to open on Christmas morning!!

Welcome Doc!!
Welcome over to our website! I really enjoyed talking to you all yesterday. Thank you for posting your event. We literally have thousands looking to see what is going on each week, so this is a good location for you. Also, please get your friends and fans to 'RSVP" as this will help me get your event a higher ranking on Facebook, search engines and social networks. You might want to set up a group for your club, as well. Such a thing can be very useful, for many reasons. For example, it gives your group an additional URL.
Also, I love the photos. I am looking forward to some more great photos (and maybe videos) of your Vette and you cruises, as well as some of the various other vehicles you favor, and events you enjoy, too. Also, it is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.
One of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that we have overlooked! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc.
Please invite your family and friends as this helps the site grow and improves your social network communications. If I can help at all with any of your projects, call me at 770-883-0160.
Sincerely,
Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1948 Rover P3 Saloon

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future. Although its styling retained many traditional elements, including an upright grille, separate fenders, and rear-hinged front…

The Volunteer Gap: Thoughts on Why Car Clubs Are Struggling to Fill Leadership Roles, and What to Do About It

With car shows, cruise-ins, tours, parades and varied events across the country, car clubs continue to bring enthusiasts together for camaraderie, preservation, and celebration of automotive history. But behind the scenes, many of these clubs are hitting a serious speed bump: no one wants to take the wheel. Volunteer-run clubs are facing an increasingly common…

Why It’s Hard to Recruit Younger Members to Volunteer Car Clubs, and How to Fix It

Car clubs have long been the social engine of the collector car world, bringing people together to swap parts, plan road trips, attend shows, and preserve automotive history. But in recent years, many volunteer-run car clubs have struggled with a pressing problem: recruiting and retaining younger members. The concern isn’t just about numbers, it’s about sustainability. As the…
