The foster and adoptive parents of Hall County extend an invitation to you to attend our 3rd annual car show on April 27th, 2013! The show location is the Hayes Dodge dealership, 3115 Frontage Rd in Gainesville GA from 11:00 to 5:00 with trophies awarded at 4:00.. All the money we collect goes to benefit the children in foster care in our county. We provide care bags when a foster child comes into foster care with all the necessities like a tooth brush and tooth paste and things like a new toy, a blanket... We also provide Christmas gifts for every child in care and we are looking to start up providing a birthday gift for their special day. We need your help to be able to take care of the 130 or so Hall County foster children. Registration is $15 per vehicle. We also welcome venders. Check out our website and see pics of our other car shows at www.lovehopehealing.com! We hope to see you there!!

Hay Andrew,
Do you have photos or videos to post from previous years to post? Please go ahead an change the name to Andrew and get the brothers to join up to set up a TKE Group. How many would you consider are gearheads, into cars or motorcycles? My fraternity was major into slot car racing. We have a mini NASCAR event at the frat house. :-) It has come along way since then!

I added TKE as a friend. I will get it out to all my Friends. How about suggesting me as Friend to your list? I am trying to get a list of about 5000 "motorheads" to get the word out about shows and events. I have some amazing car stories from my years in college in the late '60s. Mike

Welcome TKE,

I was in a fraternity in college, Pi Lambda Tau, it was an engineering fraternity.

We prefer to have individuals join and then create a group within the network. If you have a number of "motorheads" in the fraternity, it is really worth going this way in membership on the site. Please put up photos of you previous shows and,of course, ones form this show in April. :-) Let em know how I can help. Please provide me with a little background on your chapter of TKE and the car show you are doing so I can connect it with my "eyes" on FaceBook, Linkedin, etc.
If you could, change the name to a personal name or alias and get the brothers to join and set up a group. The TKE Group essentially establishes it with its own webpage and message network, which can be very useful.
Also, please post any other car shows, bike events, etc. that we may overlook. You can post directly without having to submit to a third party. Let me know how I can help with your efforts.

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

1948 Rover P3 Saloon

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future. Although its styling retained many traditional elements, including an upright grille, separate fenders, and rear-hinged front…

The Volunteer Gap: Thoughts on Why Car Clubs Are Struggling to Fill Leadership Roles, and What to Do About It

With car shows, cruise-ins, tours, parades and varied events across the country, car clubs continue to bring enthusiasts together for camaraderie, preservation, and celebration of automotive history. But behind the scenes, many of these clubs are hitting a serious speed bump: no one wants to take the wheel. Volunteer-run clubs are facing an increasingly common…
