RM Auctions, the official auction house of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, returns to the beautiful Ritz Carlton for its annual Amelia Island auction, March 8, 2014. The 16th annual sale will feature a magnificent selection of more than 80 handpicked automobiles, with an emphasis on important and historic sports and racing cars along with elegant coachbuilt classics.
This year’s event features more than a dozen motor cars offered from the esteemed Pray Collection. Representing an array of both American and European marques, the collection is highlighted by an extremely rare 1937 Delahaye 135 Competition Court Torpedo Roadster with exquisite coachwork by the innovative Parisian firm Figoni et Falaschi. Additional highlights of RM’s Amelia Island auction include an incredibly successful 1965 Shelby Mustang GT350 R, known as the ‘winningest’ Shelby ever, a 1934 Duesenberg Model SJ Convertible Sedan by LeBaron, complete with known history from new, as well as a beautiful 1932 Packard Twin Six Individual Custom Convertible Sedan offered from the respected collection of Bob and Sandra Bahre and available for sale for the first time in more than 30 years.
