Event Description

Carolina Classics At The Capital
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 19, 20, 21, 2011
In the Heart of Downtown Raleigh, N.C.

Thanks to believers like you, the 1010 Classics at the Capital surpassed virtually every expectation of what a first-year show could be. Our exit surveys ranked the overall vendor/exhibitor experience at a 4.3 on a scale of 1 (worst) to 5 (best), and we consistently heard positive comments throughout the weekend. We promised you an experience that was second to none, and I hope you’ll agree Carolina Classics at the Capital is off to a great start. If you haven’t seen our gallery of images from this year’s show, click over to Gallery to see some of our 2010 winners.

As you schedule your 2011 show calendar, please reserve the dates Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 19th, 20th and 21st. That’s the weekend we’ll be back in Downtown Raleigh with hundreds of cars, tens of thousands of spectators, live bands and great vendors.

For 2011, Carolina Classics at the Capital will feature more live classic rock and oldies bands, additional family entertainment, deeper discounts for classic car clubs and special Cruise-In options to ensure even more great classic cars will participate. It only gets better from here!

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…
