The foster and adoptive parents of Hall County extend an invitation to you to attend our 4th annual car, truck and bike show on May 3rd, 2014! The show location is the Hayes Dodge dealership, 3115 Frontage Rd in Gainesville GA from 11:00 to 3:00 with trophies awarded at 2:30. All the money we collect goes to benefit the children in foster care in our county. We provide care bags when a foster child comes into foster care with all the necessities like a tooth brush and tooth paste and things like a new toy, a blanket... We also provide Christmas gifts for every child in care and we are looking to start up providing a birthday gift for their special day. We need your help to be able to take care of the 200 or so Hall County foster children. Registration is $15 per vehicle. We also welcome venders. Check out our website and see pics of our other car shows at www.lovehopehealing.com! We hope to see you there!!

The foster parents of Hall County would like to invite you to our second annual car show on May 5th at the Hayes Chrysler dealership in Gainesville. All the money that we make will go toward getting every foster child in our county Christmas gifts.  Last year we were able to get over 150 children something to open on Christmas morning!!

Dear JoeyG,
Please note that your events are provided with their own URL.http://southeastwheelsevents.com/events/lanier-speedways-4th-annual Please post this link in your communications about the show and on any websites that allow such. Please announce the site at you events, as well. Ask your participants to join, comment, and post their photos. All these efforts will add to the overall awareness and improve participation for you, as well as spectator attendance. I will work on getting it out on Facebook and and the search engines. Call if you need anything.

Welcome JoeyG,

Welcome over to our website! Thank you for posting this very interesting event! When you are interested in help promoting a "wheels" event or when you are looking for an event to attend, we want to help. We are pleased to help bring a broader awareness about auto, truck and motorcycle events throughout the South East US. There are so many things we can do together to increase attention to our mutual interest in "wheels". The more members and participants you get ot join and "RSVP" the higher ranking I can push for your club/event on the search engines.
We are eager to see uploads of some great photos (and maybe videos) of the events you attend, as well as the various vehicles you favor, too. We want as many photos as we can get. You may have heard that we are collecting One Million photos of cars, bikes & trucks! Please announce this at any shows you attend, as we want to get the word out! It is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.
As you can see, one of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that we have overlooked! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc.
Please invite your family and friends as this helps the to get the word out and improves your social network communications. If I can help at all with any of your projects, call me at 770-883-0160.
Sincerely,

Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1948 Rover P3 Saloon

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future. Although its styling retained many traditional elements, including an upright grille, separate fenders, and rear-hinged front…

The Volunteer Gap: Thoughts on Why Car Clubs Are Struggling to Fill Leadership Roles, and What to Do About It

With car shows, cruise-ins, tours, parades and varied events across the country, car clubs continue to bring enthusiasts together for camaraderie, preservation, and celebration of automotive history. But behind the scenes, many of these clubs are hitting a serious speed bump: no one wants to take the wheel. Volunteer-run clubs are facing an increasingly common…

Why It’s Hard to Recruit Younger Members to Volunteer Car Clubs, and How to Fix It

Car clubs have long been the social engine of the collector car world, bringing people together to swap parts, plan road trips, attend shows, and preserve automotive history. But in recent years, many volunteer-run car clubs have struggled with a pressing problem: recruiting and retaining younger members. The concern isn’t just about numbers, it’s about sustainability. As the…
