Event Description

The Professor” Gary Troutman and the rest of the Carolina RaceSaver Sprint Series return to the Friendship Speedway on Saturday night, September 1st for the final appearance of the season at the Elkin, NC facility.
Back on July 21st, Ray Evernham muscled his way by Jake McLain on the final lap of the feature to win the 25 lap feature.  That move has motivated McLain who has won the last two events out and is looking forward to returning to Friendship Speedway to make up for the loss and record his 4th feature win of the season.  But he has plenty of company also looking for the win at the super fast facility.  In addition to The Professor looking to find his way back to victory lane,   Mike Leraas and Johnny Petrozelle are also looking to end McLain’s run and have shown that they are more than capable of taking the top spot.
Make your Labor Day weekend racing plans now to join us on Saturday evening, Sep 1st as the Carolina Sprints are only a part of a huge racing program a the Friendship Speedway.  For complete event information, please visit the track’s website at FriendshipSpeedway.net.  For more information on the series including info on how you can now get involved in the King of Carolina Shootout, visit us at www.carolinasprints.com.
