Turner Middle School chorus will be hosting its first Annual "Cars for Chorus" Car Show to raise funds for the choral department.  The funds will help the students be able to participate in chorus festivals including the USA Music Festival in Valdosta, Georgia this year.  The funds will also be used to purchase music, educational software, and musical equipment.

The car show will feature 4 main categories, including "DOWN MEMORY LANE" for classic, antique, and vintage cars (cut off 1974).  The other categories are "CUSTOM COOL" (custom trucks, low riders, and donks.), "MY PRIDE & JOY" (Standard Cars from 1975 to present), and "MOTORCYCLES FOR MUSIC" (Motorcycles).  A $100 prize will be given to the winner of each category (decision by judges) and the chorus students will choose a winner in each category and a student choice plaque will be awarded for each category.  There will also be an overall people's choice award.  Registration begins at 7:00 A. M. and all vehicles should be registered by 8:45 A.M.  The registration fee is $20 and the early registration fee is $15.

The event will include door prizes, a race car exhibit, food/snacks, drinks, t-shirts, and singing.
