Event Description

Wisconsin Approves Resolution to Recognize “Collector Vehicle Appreciation Day”

An Assembly Joint Resolution (AJR 79) to annually designate the second Friday in July as “Collector Vehicle Appreciation Day” in the state was approved by the legislature.  Six years ago, in an effort to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society, the SEMA Action Network (SAN) announced the second Friday in July as an annual commemoration of collector vehicles.    The next Collector Car Appreciation Day will be celebrated on July 8, 2016.

In the previous six years, thousands of Americans have gathered at car cruises, parades and other events to celebrate our nation’s automotive heritage.  By taking part in these events around the country, these automotive enthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was honored and recognized.

Thank you to those who supported this resolution.

The “Car Guy’s Garage”

Step inside a place like this and you can almost hear the echoes of every wrench turned and every engine fired back to life. The light hums off the old signs, Route 66, Coca-Cola, Phillips 66, and the smell is that unmistakable mix of oil, leather, and stories. This isn’t just a garage. It’s a…
