Event Description

With 60 currently licensed drivers competing in Pro and Pro 2, Formula Drift is recognized as the premier North American professional drifting championship series. The series consists of an eight-round championship played out at race tracks across North America. Judged on line, angle, and style, rather than who finishes the course in the fastest time, Formula Drift brings together traditional racing and extreme sports.

The Formula Drift® competition at Road Atlanta will be a right left-right-hand combination that will require the drifting competitors to quickly change direction while in full drift mode. The competition will include qualifying to determine a  field for the finals. With two cars paired together on consecutive runs (one leads, then they switch). A panel of professional drifting drivers will determine the bracket winners.

Visit www.formulad.com for more information about the Formula Drift series.
