Event Description

Annual Grandfather's Day Car Show
October 7th, 2023
Mike's "A" Ford-able Parts, Maysville, GA

Mike's "A" Ford-able Parts is hosting our Grandfather's Day Car Show again for that grandfather of all cars - the Model A Ford!

This year we will be doing something a little different. We have collaborated with our small town of Maysville as this is the same weekend that they will be having a Fall Festival. We invite you to come and join all the fun!

Maysville will be having its Annual Parade @ 10 a.m. so get to Mike’s early to line up! Only Model “A” s will be allowed in our lineup area which will be directly in front of our new building. All other vehicles will be directed as to where to line up or park the morning of the event.

After the parade enjoy some small-town hospitality at the Autumn Leaf Festival and drop back into Mike’s to check out our new location.

There will be lunch available for purchase at the Autumn Leaf Festival.

We are looking forward to every Model A owner and his or her family driving or trailering his or her restored or unrestored Model A's (no swap meet or flea market stuff, please) to Mike's. If you want to bring more than one Model A, please do so. There will be no judging, just showing.

If you need to pick up an order - please call it in, in advance - so we can have it ready for you to hopefully eliminate the long wait for parts.

So, please mark your calendar for nothing else on October 7th and make plans to celebrate Grandfather's Day at Mike's.

The Triumph TR8, introduced in 1978, was often called the “English Corvette.” It was essentially a Triumph TR7 fitted with a Rover 3.5-liter aluminum V8, a powerplant with American Buick origins that had been adopted by British Leyland in the 1960s. With around 135 to 150 horsepower in…

1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL

Introduced in late 1966 for a short, single-year production run, the 1967 Mercedes-Benz 250SL holds a special place in the “Pagoda” lineage (W113 series) as the rarest variant, with only about 5,196 units built. Positioned between the earlier 230SL and the later 280SL, the 250SL…

A Bite of History: 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…
