Event Description

Peace, Love, & MG

Join us for this psychedelic all MG blast from the past We're traveling back to 1969 Woodstock, with tours, drives, music, and MGs. We’re going back to 1969 Woodstock for the eighteenth biannual SE Fall GOF on October 15, 16, & 17, 2015.

“Peace, Love, & MG” will be psychedelic blast from the past, so grab your beads and bell bottoms. This all MG Exposition will be the “don’t miss” MG event of the season. We’ll be kicking things off Thursday night with a fantastic Music Tour of Macon and Pizza Dinner. Seats are limited for this event, so reservations are “first come, first reserved.” Friday begins with a Scenic Group Drive to the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds or a Self Guided Tour to the Aviation Museum. It’s a tough choice since both are fantastic to see! That evening, we’re heading to The Allman Bros “Big House” for a 1960’s style event of music, food, and the amazing Big House Museum.

First up on Saturday morning is the casual Car Show in the grass at Central City Park. Along with the traditional award categories, we’ll also have a “best hippie decorated car” award! After the show, burn rubber to the incredible Luther Williams Field for ballpark food and fun. You can join the whiffle ball game, toss a frisbee, or just enjoy being a spectator.

We’ve turned the Saturday night awards upside down with a happenin' Party at the GA Sports Hall of Fame. We’ll begin with the awards and then have a blast exploring the Hall of Fame while enjoying a 60’s themed buffet dinner.

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

1948 Rover P3 Saloon

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future.
