The Powell Station Celebration is a free community event to celebrate Powell history and community. It started out as a car show to celebrate the life of Travis Wegener and the community he loved. since then it has grown to include several other events; East Tennessee Pediatric Dentistry Kid Zone at the splash pad, John Diamond's Disk Golf tournament in the park, Powell History Presentation in the High School (Air Conditioned), Silent Auction, American Legion Post 2 Corn Hole Tournament, Powell Renaissance Panther 5K, and the Powell Business & Professional Assn/ TVA Credit Union local vendor showcase. there will be petting Zoo, food and snack trucks, bounce houses and games for all ages. the car show attracts some great classic vehicles. and the Powell History presentation sheds light on our rich history. Meet Mayor Jacobs, our special guest. Schedule of events: 8am car show registration begins, Panther 5K begins, and vendor area open for vendors to setup. 9:30am vendor area access closes. 9:45am park and car show open to the public. 10:00am Opening ceremonies and events and registration (other than car show starts) 2:00pm Judging of cars ends. 2:15pm awards for cars show and winners of contests announced. 2:30pm event closes and clean up starts.The Powell Station Celebration is a free community event to celebrate Powell history and community.
