Event Description

The Plateau British Car Club announces  the August 23rd Return of the British (cars & bikes) to Rugby, TN.  Rugby, adjoining the beautiful Big South Fork National Park, is an 1880’s British village with several remaining original buildings. For more info on Rugby go to www.historicrugby.org.  B&B’s are available in Rugby. For other nearby accommodations see http://www.bigsouthfork.org/Lodging.html.

This year you will also have the opportunity to take a hike – a guided hike that is, led by National Park Ranger Howard Duncan. He will be leading and explaining things on a 2.1 mile hike. However you have the option of going only as far as the “Gentlemen’s Swimming Hole” and then returning (4/10 mile). If you plan on participating, be sure to being some hiking or good walking shoes. Either hike will be informative.

Early registration is open through August 16th and the forms and schedule are available at www.pbcctn.org/Rugby. Note special registration prices for British Bikes.  We are especially looking for Brit Bikes to show up.

We want to surpass last year’s attendance record.  So register early and often.

The “Car Guy’s Garage”

Step inside a place like this and you can almost hear the echoes of every wrench turned and every engine fired back to life. The light hums off the old signs, Route 66, Coca-Cola, Phillips 66, and the smell is that unmistakable mix of oil, leather, and stories. This isn’t just a garage. It’s a…
