Event Description

Vive Le Rock Productions and The Barbeque Joint present the inaugural kick-off of Rockabillaque on Saturday, November 16th from 1pm to 2am in Park Circle, North Charleston, SC. A Saturday packed full of fun to benefit The Music Initiative/This Is Noteworthy 
The festival kicks off at 1pm with an outdoor block party closing off blocks on E Montague Ave and Collie Morse in the heart of the main strip in Park Circle. The fest includes a Classic Car Show & Awards presented by Nostalgia Garage, live music from Sean K Preston & The Loaded Pistols, The Mad Tea and Skunk Ruckus! There’s also a Pin-Up Girl Contest & Rockabilly Fashion Show hosted by designer Sabrina Michelle, whiskey tasting’s from Ivy Mountain Distillery plus BBQ from The Barbeque Joint and the cool, great taste of PBR!!
The nighttime keeps things rockin’ and rollin’ till 2am with live music from The Bo-Stevens, Pierce Edens, Sean K Preston (set #2!) and the return of Jason & The Juggernauts with special guest Arleigh Hertzler of the Defilers! Night festivities also include Carnivalesque, the circus carnival revival sideshow. Venues include The Sparrow, The Mill, DIG in the Park and Madra Rua

* Music Acts include Baltimore, MD’s Sean K Preston & The Loaded Pistols; Asheville, NC’s Pierce Edens; Winston-Salem, NC’s The Bo-Stevens; Asheville’s The Mad Tea; Charleston’s Jason & The Juggernauts with special guest Arleigh Hertzler of The Defilers, Asheville’s Skunk Ruckus and more! 

* The Classic Car Show is from 1pm to 6pm with an Awards Show. Trophies will be given in the categories of Best of Show, Participants Choice, Longest Distance Traveled, Preservation Class and Best Rad Rod. The hosts of the Classic Car show are North Charleston’s vintage car restoration specialists, Nostalgia Garage.

* The festival benefit’s The Music Initiative. This is Noteworthy {tin} is the non-profit spin-off of The Music Initiative, cultivating prosperity for musicians through five arms: media platforms, performance opportunities, charitable giving, business networking, and health & wellness programs. 

* Also appearing is Charleston’s Carnivalesque, a circus carnival revival troupe including burlesque, a sword dancer, illusionist and more! Fashion Designer Sabrina Michelle hosts the Rockabilly Fashion Show and Pin-Up Contest.

 * The festival is presented by The Barbeque Joint, who just celebrated their 5th anniversary, located in Park Circle and serving up tasty BBQ with all the side fixin’s, The festival is also presented by Ivy Mountain Distillery located in Mt Airy, GA; creating spirits from old family recipe’s for over 150 years!! Sponsors also include PBR, Holy City Tattooing Collective, Nostalgia Garage and more to be announced soon!
