On Sunday, March 21, Peachstate Porsche Club America members and Porsche enthusiasts will come together for the Porsche Peachtree Drive to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Porsche Cars North America and to kick off the opening of the High Museum of Art's "The Allure of the Automobile."

Beginning at 9:45 a.m. that morning, more than 100 vintage and modern Porsches will travel from The Governor's Mansion down Peachtree Street to the museum. When the museum opens at 12 p.m., Atlantans can enjoy the opening day of the new exhibit that will feature 18 of the rarest automobiles from the 1930s to the mid-1960s. As a lead corporate sponsor of "The Allure of the Automobile," Porsche is proud to showcase the 1938/39 Porsche Type 64 and the 1953 550 Le Mans/La Carrera Panamericana Hardtop Coupe in the exhibit.

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene.
