RAIN FORCES CANCELLATION OF THE SLACK AUTO PARTS WORLD CROWN 300 and FIREWORKS SPONSORED BY ROYAL OAK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Jefferson, GA (July 1, 2013)- Gresham Motorsports Park announces that the Slack Auto Parts World Crown 300 and fireworks Sponsored by Royal Oak, scheduled on July 4th, has been canceled due to inclement weather. Canceling the annual race is GMP's effort to consider travel and plans of the teams, drivers and fans.

A rain date has not been determined at this time, but a date will be announced as soon as possible. All tickets received, purchased or won will be redeemable for the rescheduled date of the Slack Auto Parts World Crown 300 and Fireworks sponsored by Royal Oak.

"Our fans and competitors are our first consideration," said GMP General Manager, Dan Elliott. "We know that many of them travel a long distance and their safety is our concern. With impending bad weather and flood watches in effect for the rest of the week, we felt that rescheduling this race would be the best option for all participants and fans. Even though this was out of our control, we apologize for any inconveniences that this may cause, but safety will always be our primary concern."

The “Car Guy’s Garage”

Step inside a place like this and you can almost hear the echoes of every wrench turned and every engine fired back to life. The light hums off the old signs, Route 66, Coca-Cola, Phillips 66, and the smell is that unmistakable mix of oil, leather, and stories. This isn’t just a garage. It’s a…
