I started hearing a clapping sound when i accelerate im inneed of assistance in knowing whats the cause.

hey bud its hard to really know with out hearing it what octane fuel you using ?? i have hade about 20 of the fox body mustangs , use to buy them fix the up and sell them. from rebuilding them to paint i have a motor in the garge i never built and a few t5 5 speed  and now on to the 99 to 04 years . but it could be as simple as a lifter to bad fuel bad header leak bad bearing  with out hearing it but if i could know a little bit about it or maybe hear it over the phone i might be able to pin point it ... if you could let me know where it sounds like its coming from i could try to pin point it
