Floor Decal for my garage

I need a Honda logo 2'x3' or 2'x2' in a peel and stick decal. I am making a shrine to our Honda cars. As you may know, I am building a steam car for Bonneville. I am using a '72 Honda AZ600…Continue

Building a Steam powered car to break the land speed record

Steam Car Build

You have seen my good AZ 600. Same color as the steam car. I have pulled every thing out of the car that does not go to Bonneville. There are some rust issues as with any old car that has been neglected. Looks like there is a blend of pictures- good car with the re-build.
A soon as I can get the pictures of the steam engine imported into this web site I will.
As you can see , the dash, engine, glass and interior has been removed.

The car needs to be stretched 20 inches, an air dam need to be added as well as a rear spoiler.
Any help offers?

Bonneville Salt Flats or Bust (Via The Maxton Mile)

Having no patents, millions or any means of letting future generations know of my existence, I have decided to get my name in a record book.

I like cars. I like speed. I like the unusual. What better combination of concepts than to combine all three and go after the little looked at Land Speed Record for Steam Powered Cars.

Originally set by Bob Marriott in the Stanley Steam Rocket in 1906 at a blistering 127.66 mph. He attempted to drive the car faster the next day, but the…

The foster and adoptive parents of Hall County extend an invitation to you to attend our 3rd annual car show on April 27th, 2013! The show location is the Hayes Dodge dealership, 3115 Frontage Rd in Gainesville GA from 11:00 to 5:00 with trophies awarded at 4:00..  All the money we collect goes to benefit the children in foster care in our county. We provide care bags when a foster child comes into foster care with all the necessities like a tooth brush and tooth paste and things like a new toy, a blanket... We also provide Christmas gifts for every child in care and we are looking to start up providing a birthday gift for their special day. We need your help to be able to take care of the 130 or so Hall County foster children. Registration is $15 per vehicle. We also welcome venders. Check out our website and see pics of our other car shows at www.lovehopehealing.com! We hope to see you there!!

Actually, I think there are even more than two teams going for the record. Please contact our president, Tom Kimmel, tkimmel@locallink.net (he owns many modern steam vehicles) and tell him Roger sent you. He has the dope on all the teams and will send you a back issue or two of our Bulletin hoping to recruit you as a member.

The foster parents of Hall County would like to invite you to our second annual car show on May 5th at the Hayes Chrysler dealership in Gainesville. All the money that we make will go toward getting every foster child in our county Christmas gifts.  Last year we were able to get over 150 children something to open on Christmas morning!!

I have a good mechanic,  it's the parts that are hard to find!  I have found a few on e-bay and craigslist.

Hey Bob,

The 77 Honda hopefully will be back on the road soon.  Have to get some tires for it.  It's been setting for a while,  but now ready to get it back on the road!  Such a fun car to drive.  I'd start out in 1st then put the gear shift to 2nd & gooooooo.....  Is there a place you can recommend to get parts?  I'll send some pic's later. Like I said,  it's been setting awhile!  I have had this thing since the late 80's maybe...

Later,

Veronica

A Bite of History - Marcos

By Mike Thies

The Marcos was one of those wonderfully unconventional British sports car companies that could only have come from the postwar racing world. The company was founded in 1959 by Jem Marsh and aerodynamicist Frank Costin, with the name Marcos coming from Marsh and Costin. Costin brought serious aircraft and racing design experience to the project, and that influence showed up immediately in the cars: low frontal area, light weight,…

A Judge’s View from Pinehurst: Sandhills Motoring Expo 2026 by Mike Thies

The 2026 Sandhills Motoring Expo Concours in the Village was one of those days that reminds you why we do this. Held Sunday, May 24, in the historic Village of Pinehurst, the event brought together more than 130 judged automobiles representing over 40 manufacturers, and from this judge’s point of view, it was a first-class field, a well-run operation, and a genuinely enjoyable day with owners who were proud to…
