Director of Marketing National Auto Sport Association Richmond, California. Primary responsibility was to expand from a regional organization to a national presence in road racing. In three years time expanded from 16 regional race events to over 170 events nation wide. Recruited, interviewed and selected regional managers. Provided training and guidelines for the operation of each region. Guided the creation of web presence for the regions, maintaining a local flavor for each. Took NASA to Mexico beginning in 1997 laying the ground work for anual events in Tecate and Ensenada. Secured event sponsorship from Tecate, Corona and Herdez. Helped to expand the creation of the Mazda Pro7 series and secured series financial support from Mazda and Toyo Tires. Created yearly sponsor presentation packages. Led development team for web based data base management, online event entry and billing. Compiled and edited the industries most comprehensive Rapid Response and Medical Emergency Guidelines manual. Created a relationship with INEX (Legends of NASCAR) for NASA to become their Road Racing sanctioning body. Created a working relationship with Panoz cars to provide a race program on the west coast. Negotiated contracts with sponsors, suppliers and vendors. Pioneered digital imaging system to produce weekly television show, Fast Track. Moved from analog to complete digital acquisition and editing system pushing the barriers of technology. Assembled portable digital imaging and sound system. Was responsible for all of NASA's television and print media exposure. Served as liaison at events for sponsors and television personnel. Worked as director of camera coverage, and as on air personality and interviewer for television show and promotional videos. Feature contributor for several monthly periodicals including; The Wheel, Circle Track and Automotive Technology, Road & Track, Speednews, and Grassroots Motorsports
