Making custom trunk panels simple.

Basically the same idea as the console mock up but instead of using 1/2 plywood, i used 1/4" lauan board obtained from home depot.
I simply cut cardboard to fit, then transferred the cardboard patterns to the lauan board, cut the patterns out with a jig saw, sanded the edges and kept fitting and sanding them until i obtained the perfect contours of the trunk, then I glues carpet to the panels....done.
I can neatly store two mobil-1 boxes inside the left trunk panel.
The panels are not held in by anything other than friction and the just simply snap right into place but i am sure some low profile fasteners and grab straps can be added once I go junk yard hunting once again.
For the floor, I just laid down cardboard and glued carpet to that.
