Wings Over Atlanta 2010

The main acts for 2010 were the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Canadian Snowbirds.

"This show will be the most exciting ever because we've never had two jet teams to perform," said Lt. Col. Geoffrey Wooten, 2010 Wings Over Atlanta Air Show director.

The show will also serve as a special homecoming for two members of the Blue Angels in their final year with the team. The No. 1 pilot and flight commander, Cmdr. Greg McWherter, and the Lead Solo, Lt. Cmdr. Frank Weisser, are both from the Metro Atlanta area.

The air show will feature several other civilian aerobatic acts, static displays and interactive demos free of charge to the public.

The Blue Angels is the U.S. Navy's premier flight demonstration squadron and the oldest flying aerobatic team. Since 1946, they have performed for more than 427 million fans worldwide. www.blueangels.navy.mil.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are Canada's military air demonstration team with a mission to represent the skill, professionalism and teamwork of the men and women of the Canadian Forces to the North American public.
