Hi John,

We would like to invite those interested in a cruise-in on Friday nights at the Sonic Drive-in, located on Atlanta Hwy just off of Hwy 53 in Flowery Branch, Ga., from 4-8pm. Everyone welcome, come and be with friends and meet new people.  There may also be opportunity to share with folks or offer gift packets from the church across from Sonic, Blackshear Place Baptist.  If interested in joining us for fun, food and fellowship, please contact us for more information.  We plan to start up mid to late April, 2013.

God Bless,

Roy and Sandy Pierce

The foster and adoptive parents of Hall County extend an invitation to you to attend our 3rd annual car show on April 27th, 2013! The show location is the Hayes Dodge dealership, 3115 Frontage Rd in Gainesville GA from 11:00 to 5:00 with trophies awarded at 4:00..  All the money we collect goes to benefit the children in foster care in our county. We provide care bags when a foster child comes into foster care with all the necessities like a tooth brush and tooth paste and things like a new toy, a blanket... We also provide Christmas gifts for every child in care and we are looking to start up providing a birthday gift for their special day. We need your help to be able to take care of the 130 or so Hall County foster children. Registration is $15 per vehicle. We also welcome venders. Check out our website and see pics of our other car shows at www.lovehopehealing.com! We hope to see you there!!

The foster parents of Hall County would like to invite you to our second annual car show on May 5th at the Hayes Chrysler dealership in Gainesville. All the money that we make will go toward getting every foster child in our county Christmas gifts.  Last year we were able to get over 150 children something to open on Christmas morning!!

John,

How do I save pic to the website but not on my personal page. I have a bunch from the Tucker show and Twisted Tavern but don't want them on the mail page so the car owners can view them. Perhaps in a folder with the shows' names.

Thanks,

Merritt

Yes, I have been enjoying the pics you shared especially the pics taken in the pitts. Nothing like watching the behind the scenes action because it gives you a whole new appreciation for the sport of drag racing.

It also reminds me of why I don't do it....it's wayyy too expensive.. ha, ha.

Thanks! I've found cars to be a much safer investment to stocks. :) From one gearhead to another!

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…

1948 Rover P3 Saloon

The 1948 Rover P3 Saloon marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of British motoring. Introduced in the immediate aftermath of World War II, the P3 was a bridge between prewar craftsmanship and the modern engineering ethos that would come to define Rover’s future. Although its styling retained many traditional elements, including an upright grille, separate fenders, and rear-hinged front…

The Volunteer Gap: Thoughts on Why Car Clubs Are Struggling to Fill Leadership Roles, and What to Do About It

With car shows, cruise-ins, tours, parades and varied events across the country, car clubs continue to bring enthusiasts together for camaraderie, preservation, and celebration of automotive history. But behind the scenes, many of these clubs are hitting a serious speed bump: no one wants to take the wheel. Volunteer-run clubs are facing an increasingly common…

Why It’s Hard to Recruit Younger Members to Volunteer Car Clubs, and How to Fix It

Car clubs have long been the social engine of the collector car world, bringing people together to swap parts, plan road trips, attend shows, and preserve automotive history. But in recent years, many volunteer-run car clubs have struggled with a pressing problem: recruiting and retaining younger members. The concern isn’t just about numbers, it’s about sustainability. As the…
