The foster and adoptive parents of Hall County extend an invitation to you to attend our 3rd annual car show on April 27th, 2013! The show location is the Hayes Dodge dealership, 3115 Frontage Rd in Gainesville GA from 11:00 to 5:00 with trophies awarded at 4:00.. All the money we collect goes to benefit the children in foster care in our county. We provide care bags when a foster child comes into foster care with all the necessities like a tooth brush and tooth paste and things like a new toy, a blanket... We also provide Christmas gifts for every child in care and we are looking to start up providing a birthday gift for their special day. We need your help to be able to take care of the 130 or so Hall County foster children. Registration is $15 per vehicle. We also welcome venders. Check out our website and see pics of our other car shows at www.lovehopehealing.com! We hope to see you there!!

The foster parents of Hall County would like to invite you to our second annual car show on May 5th at the Hayes Chrysler dealership in Gainesville. All the money that we make will go toward getting every foster child in our county Christmas gifts.  Last year we were able to get over 150 children something to open on Christmas morning!!

We are so please it worked out okay. Are you planning another car show soon, or for next year as all? Also, did anyone get more photos for us to view? :-) As you know, we LOVE to post more photographs. Mike 770-883-0160

Convertibles are wonderful! Yesterday I attended a show in the mountains with about 160 miles round trip. I had a wonderful day, with the top down, the wind through the car, the sun and clouds int eh sky, ..... just a fabulous drive! That's the good life!

Now you hit me in my heart!: It is red, it is a convertible, it has white walls, it has wire wheels! It is hard to get better than that! :-)

How is the car show coming along? Is there a way we can help? How about writing a blog about Gene and linking it tot he event site? I will post it on Google and Facebook, too.

Your comment to me was very gracious and supportive. Thank you so much. I love the photo you shared on my page. What a beautiful sedan! This last weekend I got to drive an original '40 Ford for a few hours and it was like driving a time machine. It brought back so many childhood memories. As much as they seem similar, riding in cars was quite a different experience, especially as a child. We had no restraints, and we often hung out windows, etc. :-)

Welcome Mary!!
Welcome over to our website! I truly enjoyed talking to you on the phone, today.Thank you for posting your event. While your show may be a fairly well known event, we will be pleased to help bring an even broader awareness. As I suggested, to help, please get as many friends and participants as possible to RSVP on your event and this helps us in increasing rankings on Facebook and major search engines. Announce our site at the show itself and have your happy participants post photos and stories, this helps promote your next shows, as well.
I am looking forward to some great photos (and maybe videos) of your T-bird, as well as some of the various vehicles you favor, and events you enjoy, too. Also, it is good to write about your "wheels" adventures on the blog, as we all enjoy stories from our members.
One of the real strengths of our website is the feature that any member can add events whenever they find one that we have overlooked! You do not have to "submit" through emails or the postal service, etc.
Please invite your family and friends as this helps the site grow and improves your social network communications. If I can help at all with any of your projects, call me at 770-883-0160.
Sincerely,
Mike Thies

A Bite of History - 1977 Chevrolet Corvette

By Mike Thies

The 1977 Corvette carried forward one of America’s most recognizable shapes while quietly refining it for a changing era. By now, the third-generation Corvette had matured into a smoother, more comfortable grand-touring machine. The tall rear window of earlier years gave way to a cleaner fastback design that improved visibility and aerodynamics. Inside, Chevrolet focused on comfort and drivability, quieter…

Triumph TR8

The Triumph TR8, introduced in 1978, was often called the “English Corvette.” It was essentially a Triumph TR7 fitted with a Rover 3.5-liter aluminum V8, a powerplant with American Buick origins that had been adopted by British Leyland in the 1960s. With around 135 to 150 horsepower in…
