Chattanooga’s Best Secret – Honest Charley’s And The Coker Museum

In life, there are some secrets you should keep close to the vest, and others that need to be shared with everyone. Honest Charley’s and the Coker Museum is one Chattanooga secret that has been held far too long.

Nestled conveniently in the heart of Chattanooga’s Historic Southside, the red brick building wraps you in its turn-of-the-century arms the moment you see it. Since 1948 this has been the home of Honest Charley’s, the world’s first mailorder speed shop.

Today the nostalgic 13,000 sq ft facility houses Honest Charley’s and the impressive Coker Museum. The Museum is the personal collection of none other than Corky Coker of international Coker Tire fame.

Needless to say, we jumped at the chance to spend time with Corky and tour his beautifully displayed collection. With classic neon signs shining brightly overhead, his collection of over 100 vintage cars, motorcycles, and trucks transport you to a bygone era.
