1936 Cord 810 Phaeton 2022 RM Sotheby's Amelia Island Classic Car Auction

The Cord 810 is undoubtedly one of the most influential designs in automobile history. Its front-wheel-drive powertrain, a flathead, Lycoming V-8 mated to a four-speed, electrically shifted pre-selector transmission put it decades ahead mechanically, its design, attributed to Gordon Buehrig, an instant classic. Sold at the 2022 RM Sotheby's classic car auction, Amelia Island.
