Come on out to the 2012 Gwinnett County, GA - Beat the HEAT Car and Motorcycle show at the Gwinnett Arena on July 15th, 2012.
The event will feature a law enforcement based safety expo as well as displays from vendors and sponsors such as The Georgia Force Cheerleaders, The Gwinnett Braves, Gold's Gym-Lawrenceville, Discount Tire, MV Performance, Mustangs Unlimited, and much more. Come toss a few balls at the Dunk-a-Cop Dunk Tank and get a little pay-back for that last speeding ticket.
The car/motorcycle show will be a NON-TRADITIONAL format, and will feature awards in non-traditional classes. This event is designed to be a family-friendly gathering for car lovers of all ages, and not a competitive-style format car show with "winners and losers." The awards classes are designed to allow for each car show participant to be eligible for multiple award categories, and the judging will be carried out by non-traditional judges. Show participation for cars is a $20 donation to the program, and a $10 donation for motorcycles. Registration and set up for the car show begins at 9:30 am and will close at 1:00 pm.
Registration forms are available on the team's website at www.bthgwinnett.org. Remember, Beat the Heat, Inc is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charity, and the purpose of this event is to raise funds to assist the team in continuing their educational programs.
Beat the HEAT, Inc is a team of local law enforcement officers who use drag racing as a tool to teach young drivers about the dangers of Illegal Street Racing. This event will feature displays from SWAT teams, demonstrations by K-9 officers, a "Dunk-a-Cop" tank, and demonstrations by members of the TVOC Teen Driving School. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase on site, as well as displays by participating sponsors.

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster
The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…
