Event Description

Hello Georgia Regional Members and past members.
This is a Special event just for you..

We plan on meeting Sunday March 29th at the Walmart in Canton of 575 at Exit 20 @ 9:00am ( if some want to meet early and have breakfast at Cracker Barrel then please do and be at Walmart by 8:45)

Our President Dale Westcott is going to lead us on a fun adventure to the Tail of the Dragon.. Make sure you have a full tank of gas before we head out and remember there is little to no cell service on the Dragon... We will have Two-way radios to use. We will stop for gas before we get on the Dragon. There are some beautiful stops to take pictures along the dragon

After the ride thru the dragon a few times we will head to "The Hub" to have lunch and talk about our exciting day. Then Dale will lead us back to our meeting place in Canton, if you wish to follow or go back on your own you are welcome to.

Important note:
This is a STATE Hwy and there will be officers in NC that will be happy to take your money. ( if you need a list of speeding fines.. please see Pam) LOL
Please drive where you feel comfortable NO crazy driving this is a dangerous road especially if you lose control.
If there is someone on your tail (ex: motorcycles, other fast cars) pull over in one of the pull over spots. This is a courtesy on the DRAGON...
There will be several photographers taking pictures and they will be posted for you to purchase on line.

We are going to have fun.. It's not a race

It will be an All day event, but feel free to leave if you need to get back home.

See you soon... oh yeah check your breaks....

A Bite of History: by Mike Thies

1958 Porsche 356 Speedster

The 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster marks the swan song of one of Porsche’s most iconic and minimalist models. Originally introduced in 1954 at the urging of U.S. importer Max Hoffman, the Speedster was designed to be a low cost, lightweight, stripped-down entry sports car that could double as a weekend racer, especially for the California sports car scene. With its low windshield,…
